Introduction

Pallavi is a psychodynamic and trauma-informed therapist who brings a thoughtful and attentive approach to therapy. She uses reflective questions and gentle direction to help clients make sense of what they’re experiencing, while staying attuned to their pace and emotional capacity. Her approach draws from CBT and mindfulness, alongside a deeper trauma-informed perspective. She looks at experiences through both cognitive and emotional perspectives exploring where they experience it in their body, and how past experiences may have shaped these responses. When required, she incorporates grounding, breathing, and nervous-system regulation techniques to help clients feel more settled and able to engage with the work. Pallavi works particularly well with anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, and neurodivergence. She is especially thoughtful about helping clients translate therapy into changes in their everyday functioning, while gradually exploring the experiences and unmet needs that may be contributing to their current difficulties. She brings a balance of structure and flexibility to sessions. While she generally works gently and at the client’s pace, she is comfortable offering more direction or challenge when needed. Her focus on emotional processing can be particularly helpful for clients who have learned to suppress or struggle to express their emotions. If you're looking for a therapist who combines practical tools with deeper emotional and trauma-informed work, Pallavi might be a good fit.
